Adeliza is the Norman form of Adelaide — Old German adal (noble) and heid (kind). Adeliza of Louvain (1103-1151) was the second queen consort of King Henry I of England — a noted patron of literature and the arts.
After Henry's death, she married William d'Aubigny and became Countess of Arundel.
Adeliza reduces to three — the number of Norman queen.
