Bibiana (Vivian) is the Latin feminine of vivus (alive, lively). Saint Bibiana was the Roman virgin martyr (d. c. 363) — daughter of the Christian official Flavianus, scourged to death under Emperor Julian the Apostate. Her basilica on the Esquiline is among Rome's oldest.
In Mexico, popularly invoked against hangovers.
Bibiana reduces to eight — the number of Roman martyr.
