Daniela is the Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and German feminine of Daniel — from the Hebrew Dāniyyēl, meaning "God is my judge." The Old Testament prophet Daniel is the most famous bearer of the masculine form.
Daniela is enormously popular across Italy, Spain, and Latin America. In the U.S. it sits in the top 250 and has been climbing. The English spelling Daniella (two L's) is the more common American variant, but Daniela is rising on its own.
Daniela reduces to nine — the number of just devotion.
