Erinna (Ἤριννα, 4th c. BCE) was the Greek lyric poet from the Aegean island of Telos — author of the famous lost epic The Distaff (Ἠλακάτη), 300 lines on the death of her childhood friend Baucis. Counted among the Nine Lyric Poetesses; ancient critics ranked her with Sappho.
Allegedly died at nineteen.
Erinna reduces to one — the number of Aegean lyric poet.
