Frigg (Old Norse) is from the Proto-Germanic frijjō ("beloved"). **The Norse queen of the gods — wife of Odin, mother of Baldr** — and mistress of Fensalir ("Hall of the Marshes"). **She knew the fate of every being in the cosmos but spoke of it to none** — even when she foresaw the death of her beloved son. **Friday (Old English *Frīgedæg*) — "Frigg's day" — preserves her name in every Germanic language.**
Featured throughout the Poetic and Prose Eddas.
Frigg reduces to seven — the number of Norse queen of the gods.
