Helle (Ἕλλη) is the Greek princess who, fleeing her stepmother Ino with her brother Phrixos on the Golden Ram, fell from the sky into the strait between Europe and Asia. **The Hellespont ("Helle's sea")** — the modern Dardanelles — is named after her.
Featured in Pindar's poetry and Apollonius's Argonautica.
Helle reduces to seven — the number of Greek Hellespont.
