Naarah (נַעֲרָה) means "girl" or "young woman" in Hebrew — the same word used for Ruth and other unmarried women in scripture. In 1 Chronicles 4:5-6, Naarah was the second wife of Ashhur, mother of Ahuzzam, Hepher, Temeni, and Haahashtari.
A modern Hebrew name in Israel.
Naarah reduces to eight — the number of Hebrew maiden.
