Ninhursag (𒀭𒊩𒌆𒉺𒂅) was the Sumerian mother goddess and "Lady of the Mountains" — among the seven greatest deities of Sumer. Considered the mother of all living beings; her temple in Eridu was one of the oldest in Mesopotamia.
Rare but iconic in Sumerian studies.
Ninhursag reduces to eight — the number of Sumerian mountain mother.
