Rudrama Devi (c. 1245-1289) was the **warrior queen of the Kakatiya dynasty in southern India** — **raised as a son** by her father Ganapatideva (taking the male title *Rudradeva Maharaja*) since he had no male heir. **One of very few women to formally rule a major South Indian kingdom**, she successfully defended the realm against multiple invasions. **Marco Polo visited her court and praised her wisdom.**
