Skuld is from the Old Norse skuld (debt, obligation, that which is to be). **One of the three Norns** — the Norse goddesses of fate — alongside **Urd (past) and Verdandi (present)**. Skuld is the youngest, **representing what is to come** — sometimes identified as a Valkyrie.
