Stheneboea (Σθενέβοια) combines the Greek sthenos (strength) and bous (ox). Wife of King Proetus of Tiryns who tried to seduce the hero Bellerophon — when he refused, she falsely accused him of attempting to rape her, the Greek mirror of Potiphar's wife.
