Taiping (太平, c. 665-713) — "great peace" — was the **favorite daughter of Wu Zetian** and the most politically powerful Tang princess in history. **She orchestrated two coups** — first against Empress Wei in 710 (placing her brother Ruizong on the throne), then a power struggle with her nephew (the future Xuanzong), who ultimately defeated her. Forced to commit suicide at 48.
