Tetisheri (c. 1575 BCE) was the great **matriarch of the Egyptian 18th Dynasty** — wife of Senakhtenre Ahmose I, mother of Seqenenre Tao and Queen Ahhotep, grandmother of King Ahmose I. **Through her, the dynasty that expelled the Hyksos and founded the New Kingdom traced its legitimacy.** Her grandson Ahmose I built a cenotaph and pyramid in her honor at Abydos.
Her mummy was found in the Deir el-Bahari cache.
Tetisheri reduces to eight — the number of dynastic matriarch.
