Vac (वाच्) is the Sanskrit word for "speech, voice, sacred utterance." **The Vedic goddess of speech and language** — celebrated in **Rig Veda 10.125**, the famous Devi-sukta, where she speaks in the first person as **the cosmic principle of language that pervades all beings**.
