Vibia is the Latin feminine of Vibius — from vivus, meaning "lively" or "alive." The gens Vibia was a Roman family that produced Vibia Perpetua (c. 182-203 CE), the Carthaginian Christian martyr whose Passion of Perpetua and Felicity is one of the earliest surviving Christian writings by a woman.
Vibia is rare but iconic in early Christian history.
Vibia reduces to five — the number of Roman gens.
