Azarmidokht combines the Persian azarmi (modest) and dokht (daughter). **The other of the two female Sasanian Shahs** — sister of Pourandokht, **succeeded her sister to the Persian throne in 630-631 CE**. **Famously rejected an unwanted marriage proposal from a Parthian noble Farrukh Hormizd** — when he persisted, she had him assassinated. Brief reign before his son murdered her in revenge.
