Vak (वाक्) is the Sanskrit word for **"speech, sacred utterance"** — root of the English "voice." **The Vedic Rishika Vak Ambhrini composed Rigveda 10.125** — the **Devi Sukta**, one of the most powerful self-declarations in the Vedas: *"I move with the Rudras, the Vasus, the Adityas; I support the heavens; I am she who blows like the wind."* **Identified with the goddess herself — the deification of Speech as Sarasvati's predecessor.**
Featured in Rigveda 10.125 (Devi Sukta).
Vak reduces to eight — the number of Vedic Sacred Speech.
